AI for lenders, mortgage companies and advisory firms

Vantage Systems builds artificial intelligence (AI) systems for mortgage, reverse mortgage, consumer and commercial lenders and for advisory firms: voice agents that answer and qualify borrower calls, custom CRMs (Customer Relationship Management systems) built around your pipeline stages, and agents that read loan documents. Each system writes back to your loan origination system (LOS) and is designed around your consent and disclosure rules, which your compliance team signs off before anything goes live.

Key facts

Who it is for
Lenders and advisory firms with a loan officer team, a processing desk and a compliance function, often private equity backed.
What we build
Inbound and outbound voice agents, a lending CRM, loan document agents and pipeline dashboards.
Integrates with
Your LOS, such as Encompass, Byte or MeridianLink, plus your dialer, email and pricing engine.

Three problems we hear from financial services and lending operators

  • Leads go cold between the form and the loan officer

A borrower fills in a rate inquiry at 9 p.m. and nobody calls until the next afternoon, by which time a competitor has pulled credit.

  • The pipeline lives in five places

Application status sits in the LOS, conversations sit in a separate CRM, conditions sit in email and the follow-up schedule sits in each officer's head. Nobody can see what is stuck without a spreadsheet.

  • Processors retype what borrowers already sent

Bank statements, pay stubs, tax returns and appraisals arrive as scans, and a processor keys the same figures into the file by hand.

Where does AI actually help a lending operation?

AI helps most in three places: the first conversation with a borrower, the record of everything that happens after it, and the stack of documents that has to be read before closing. Underwriting judgment and pricing decisions stay with your people and your existing engines.

On the phone, an AI voice agent for lenders answers inquiries at any hour, asks your qualifying questions, books the borrower onto a loan officer's calendar and transfers live when an officer is free. Every call leaves a summary on the borrower record.

Behind the phone sits the system of record. A custom CRM for lenders mirrors your real stages, from inquiry to application, processing, underwriting, clear to close and funded, and pulls milestones from the LOS so nobody updates status twice.

Do we have to replace our loan origination system?

No. The LOS stays the system for the loan file, and what we build sits beside it, reading milestones and writing back notes and tasks through the vendor's application programming interface (API) where one exists.

Commercial lenders and advisory firms often run on a general CRM that was never configured for credit memos, covenant tracking or household relationships. In those cases a purpose-built system replaces the patchwork, and the insight on custom CRM cost explains how we scope that decision.

What we build for lenders

  • Borrower voice agent

Answers inquiry lines and rate calls, qualifies against your criteria, books the loan officer and warm transfers when someone is available.

  • Lending CRM

Pipeline stages and compliance checkpoints that match your process, with follow-up tasks generated automatically and every touch logged.

  • Loan document agent

Reads bank statements, pay stubs, tax returns and title work, extracts the figures and flags mismatches for a processor to confirm. See AI agents for loan documents.

  • Condition tracker

Lists open underwriting conditions per file and chases the borrower for missing items.

  • Pipeline and production dashboard

Applications, pull-through, aging by stage and officer production in one view for the sales and operations leads.

A custom CRM for a reverse mortgage lender

A reverse mortgage lender had its leads, calls, follow-ups and compliance steps spread across tools that did not share data, and managers had to ask for pipeline numbers. We built one custom system around its own pipeline stages and compliance checkpoints, with AI handling routine follow-up and record keeping. It is live, the team works from it as the single system of record, and management sees the whole pipeline without requesting a report. The full write-up of that lender build covers the problem and the system.

How an engagement works

  1. Map the loan journey

We work with loan officers, processors and compliance to trace a file from first inquiry to funding, including where consent is captured and where work stalls.

  2. Fix scope and rules

We agree the first phase, the LOS integration points and the contact rules in writing, with a fixed price for that phase.

  3. Build with your compliance team

You see working software every week, and compliance reviews scripts, disclosures and logs on a test line before any borrower hears the agent.

  4. Launch and run it

We go live on one channel or branch first, then expand, and we keep running and maintaining the system after launch.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI voice agent take a loan application?

It can collect the intake details, but it does not take a formal application or quote a rate unless you design it to. Most lenders have the agent qualify, gather property and purpose details and book a licensed loan officer, who handles anything that requires a license.

Which loan origination systems do you integrate with?

We work with the system you run, including Encompass, Byte and MeridianLink, and with commercial platforms such as nCino. The depth of integration depends on what the vendor exposes, which we confirm during discovery.

Does the system decide who gets approved?

No. Credit decisions stay with your underwriters and your existing automated underwriting tools. Our systems move information and flag gaps; a person makes every lending decision.

How do you handle borrower data?

Borrower data stays in the region we agree with you and access is limited by role. Each component's storage and access are documented for your information security review.

Is this suitable for a reverse mortgage lender?

Yes. Reverse mortgage pipelines have long, checkpoint-heavy cycles, such as the counseling session with a counselor approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, and a custom system can track each checkpoint before the file moves on.

Can you work with an advisory firm rather than a lender?

Yes. Registered investment advisers use the same building blocks for prospect calls, client onboarding paperwork and household records. We also rebuild websites for advisory firms when the first impression is part of the problem.

Built for operators with real scale. Most engagements are scoped in the tens of thousands of dollars and up.
